The Apex Park and Recreation District Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to support Apex Park and Recreation District’s efforts to deliver quality community recreation.

 

Second annual Sweetheart Silent Auction draws a great crowd; group looks forward to Father’s Day fund-raisers

On Friday, February 10, Indian Tree Golf Club hosted a festive holiday event for a good cause. More than 200 Foundation friends and community members gathered to enjoy refreshments, browse a dazzling selection of auction items, and bid for their favorites.

Many thanks to the major event sponsors: Arvada Beer Company, Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet, Forty Weight Coffee, Hoffbrau, Indian Tree Golf Club Restaurant and Mannekin Frites. Also, thanks to the many generous donors who gave approximately 100 items to the Silent Auction! Thanks to all who gave, and to all who bought.

Proceeds from the event go toward several important projects: an upper-body ergometer at the Apex Center for clients with lower-body injuries, a community board for the Apex Fitness and Racquetball Center, and an air conditioning unit for the Secrest Youth and Teen Center.
